About me
Hi, i'm 25 and a DJ from Derby. Yeah ok, i get to meet loads of people doing the job i do - but just not the right sort! Especially with the modern stereotype of DJs. Need someone who i can share my experiences with, go to gigs with, concerts, theatre, meals out, someone to snuggle up with at night and someone who will accept that i am what i am. is that too much to ask? Thought i'd mention - i've got 2 kids, G(6) & B(3) and love them & see them loads!

About me
- Where I liveI live in a quiet part of Derby, just a couple of miles away from pride park, the city centre & just 10 minutes away from east midlands airport. I don't really know what else to say about where i live?! I'm buying a 2nd house this summer though :)
- Where are you originally from?Born in Derby, grew up there, spent a few years in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire where i went to Uni.
- What is your occupation?I'm a professional DJ with a finger in a few other promotional idea pies too..
- What have you done so far?I've been a dj since school, but have had a couple of menial jobs such as working at sainsburys too! I'm a qualified PAT tester, which is nothing to do with cow shit -it's portable appliance testing which is about as interesting. I'm also a qualified computer engineer & ran my own small IT company for 2 years before getting bored.
- What are your future plans?I've got no real big plans for the future set in stone. I think it's hard to plan too much. At the minute, the plan is to save enough for that 2nd home.. then i don't know what!
- Your perfect partnerMy perfect partner.. hmm. This is a tricky one. I don't think you can ever find someone who's perfect.. but it's what you do that makes you who you are i suppose.
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?Hobbies.. hmm. basketweaving, dominoes.. I'm quite a handyman and like fixing stuff, don't mind a bit of ten pin bowling now and then or going to gigs. My hobbies tend to change periodically.. for example, i bought a mini motorbike not long ago, rode it a few times, now it's sat in the garage. i love gadgets & 'manly' stuff i suppose, like tools etc, but i'm not your typical bloke i hasten to add!
- MusicI could spend hours writing about music! Briefly though, i'll listen to anything. I'm quite eclectic. As a kid, i used to play piano/keyboard and drums and have a history of music in the family, especially jazz. If a track is produced well & unique then i can appreciate it. If it's absolute shite like soulja boy or just made to make money... you can keep it!
- Your fav tv seriesdon't really watch tv enough to get into any 'series'! but like my home improvement progs, redeveloping progs, comedies etc. road wars! that's ace. and street wars! don't mind the odd murder mystery or drama either.
- Your fav books/authorsOnly ever read biogs & two dan brown books, so er.. them i spose!
- What sort of movies do you like?I'll watch anything, not so keen on horror though! i'm a bit of a wimp!
- What kind of people do you find attractive? I admire natural beauty. I don't like being too specific on the people that i like, cos i find different things attractive in different people?! I generally look at peoples eyes first, then their shoes (you can tell a lot!), then their bum! ;) hehe
- FoodI love italian food, Indian food, Chinese food! I love different spices, flavours & really enjoy eating out! :)
- DrinksThis sounds like a bloody medical! Yes, i like a good drink! Lager in the beer garden of a local pub in the summer, JD or Southern Comfort if i'm out to have a wild one!
- HolidaysWish i'd never started filling in this questionaire now! Yes, i like holidays! doesn't everyone? Been to: Cyprus, Tenerife, Benidorm, Kos, Germany, Paris, Amsterdam, Lanzarote, Ireland.. to name a few :) Would love to go to Rome or Australia.
- PetsAllergic to most animals. Blooody itchy furry smelly things!
- Fav thingMy favourite posession? No idea! My car? It's a soft-top, and i've had about 2 days of sunshine since i bought it! blaaaaah
- Fav PlaceFavourite place.. has to be the sliproad at the end of the airport runway. Not for any sordid reason, but just because you can see all of derby from there and the planes comin in over your head at night. Its.. . really.. quite.. relaxing :) Great place to sit and think!
- What's your favourite radio station ?My favourite radio stations include: Radio 1 (moyles), Radio 2 (russel brand), Galaxy (when i'm workin up north) and Xfm (when i'm down south!).
- What's your favourite tv station ?Uk style. sad i know.
- What's your favourite drink?Tea. This country was bloody build on the stuff!
- What's your favourite food?I thought we'd been through this question? doh
- What are your favourite activities?Gigs, Films, Nights out, travelling to different cities, stand up comedy nights, live music definately!
My attitude
- Family lifeI like to teach my kids the value of things when i can, they get spoilt a lot but its important sometimes to let them know that i work to get money to pay for whatever they ask for! .. it was really hard for me to adjust to being a separated dad because i always wanted my kids to have everything i had as a kid. That included a mum and dad.. together. I know now that it's not the be all and end all of being a family. It's tough sometimes, but i just do what i can. We manage to do something interesting at least once a week! Whether it be bowling, play centre, planting vegetables or painting.. phew! that's enough from me about family.
- Jobs&WorkingI love my job, but it has it's ups & downs too. Nightclub politics is very demanding! it's all about who you know & how much ass you kiss to get jobs unfortunately. Check out www.djnickyp.com if you want to know more about my work.

- PoliticsI think this country is one step away from becoming a dictatorship. Labour, Conservatives.. whatever. They're all as crap as one another. Tax pisses me off too. Taxed for everything, yet it's never enough.
